A deep, moody red with a dark secret. It goes down as a rich blood red, then the pigment settles through it as it dries, creating smoky blue-gray shadows and subtle separation.

Use it concentrated for deep dramatic reds, or add more water to bring out the cooler undertones and texture.

Each pan is handmade in small batches with artist-grade pigments, gum arabic, honey and clove oil. No fillers.

Excellent lightfastness.

My specialty colors are made in very small batches. Many use unusual or premium pigments, and rather than producing them continuously, I make a limited number when inspiration strikes.

Sold out doesn’t necessarily mean gone. Most can be made again by request. Please allow about three weeks for your color to be made, poured and fully dried.
